About the project

Asura is a complicated product, consisting of 2 main parts: CRM system as background, and Online Insurance Purchase Platform in front. The main goal of the project is to make insurance process easy and fast, while giving the end user the best prices among several main Insurance providers, present in a market, depending on the wide variety of personal user needs.

  • Flexible multi-step Online Assistant which we used for different insurance types with different parameters depending on insurance category, provider etc.

  • Insurance calculator as crucial part of the Online Assistant, which takes into account many additional options depending on insurance category and service provider etc.

  • Discount feature

  • Flexible user(lead) management system

  • Global actions history for agent’s activity in the backend

  • Companies and products management

  • E-Mail and SMS templates

  • Mini-CMS for creating Blog Posts

  • Wide set of tools for sales agents to have a full control over all leads

  • Leads adding quick-tool, which allows to start tracking leads, that initially was gathered by other channels (non-online)

  • Statistics including: Marketing dashboard, Sales dashboard, Agents performance

  • System settings: exchange rates, call center, agent working hours, payment systems, etc.

About the project

Asura is a complicated product, consisting of 2 main parts: CRM system and Online Insurance Purchase Platform.
Working on Asura we gathered a lot of experience in implementing, and got the knowledge in most common insurance areas (car insurance, bike insurance, accident insurance, home insurance, health insurance, travel insurance and life insurance).




Challenges

IT Duck team has taken over the development of Asura from the very beginning and worked closely with entire team during all phases of the development. We always carefully listen what end-users say about software we develop.

 

One of the biggest challenge was to analyze a lot of various calculation logic of different insurance companies, and create one elegant mechanism,  which would allow user to order any available item of any provider, along with additional options, and to see the resulting detailed pricing.

 

Another main goal to achieve was to create a complex CRM system combined with ordering process. This system should allow sales agents to precisely track any user activity from the very raw interest to closing the deal. CRM provides a wide range of tools, to make the process of connect users with Insurance Providers as smooth as possible.

 

Together we have optimized all the internal business processes even the ones which are not related to development side of things.

 

Working on Asura we gathered a lot of experience in implementing, and knowledge in  most common insurance areas such as: car insurance, bike insurance, accident insurance, home insurance, health insurance, travel insurance and life insurance.

 

The system implements a very complicated lead statuses-flow as well as an advanced action tracking and email/sms/whatsapp notifications features (frontend and backend).

  • We are using traditional relational database approach, as it gives us more reliable and predictable data structures. Our RDBMS is MySQL, as we prefer not switching technologies just because of “this is not modern now”.
